About Pulso
Pulso is a free online metronome dedicated to one exercise: the gap click, also known as muted bars or silent bars.
Why it exists
Playing in time means being able to keep the tempo when nothing is helping you. A normal metronome cannot test that, so Pulso alternates bars with a click and bars without one. It is a small tool with a single job, and the goal is to make that job as simple and as reliable as possible: choose a pattern, press Start, listen.
What you will find here
- A metronome with six ready-made muted bars patterns (1:1, 2:1, 2:2, 4:1, 4:2 and 4:4) in 4/4, 3/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8 and 12/8, from 40 to 240 BPM.
- Articles that explain what a gap click is and how to practise internal tempo step by step.
- No account, no download and nothing to install.
Who is behind it
Pulso is an independent project by Eric Mateu Hernandez. To suggest an improvement or report a problem, use the contact page.
